Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE)

Overall Equipment Effectiveness is a key performance indicator that measures the overall effectiveness of a machine, defined using the following factors:

-          Availability factor (equipment availability - Percentage (%) in which the facility produces or can produce)

-          performance factor (e.g. output per minute)

-          quality factor (e.g. recovery)

The advantage of this KPI is that the management can assess machine performance and root causes of breakdowns at first sight.
