Project selection according to the methods of Lean & Six Sigma

The lean philosophy was to be implemented in a metalworking factory. Within the different departments and divisions, there were countless projects that were not coordinated with one another and overwhelmed both the staff and the organization. To be carried out, the projects had to be evaluated prioritized by Green Belts and Black Belts using DMAIC processes.

Implementation of the Lean & Six Sigma Philosophy – Business Segment Level

The lean philosophy was to be implemented within one business segment with three production locations of a technology company. After a strategic realignment of the segment, employees were trained as Yellow Belts and Green Belts in so-called “waves” to bring methodological skills into the organization step-by-step. At the same time, DMAIC projects were started to compensate for the costs immediately.

Implementation of the Lean & Six Sigma Philosophy – across plants

The CI philosophy (Continuous Improvement) was to be implemented in a company in the metal industry for the constant optimization of processes, structures and company performance. This took place top-down and bottom up across the entire organization and accordingly across plants. The entire toolbox and methods of Lean & Six Sigma were used and the necessary training and coaching conducted.
